I thought this would be a good track to share. I started out with a fully acoustic version of this song (just me and my guitar), which is also posted on SoundCloud. After living with it for a while, I decided to create this version leaning more heavily on Band-in-a-Box. Joe, a very clever song. I liked your vocals, especially during the chorus. Super backing tracks. This is a fantastic song. "You go in for your yearly physical, they ask you to step on the scale, It feels like taking a test that you already know you’re goana fail." I can relate

Hi, Joe. Sad, true and well delivered little ditty you have here. The build is really nice, too. Love your vocals and those boisterous harmonies are a lot of fun. Can see this one being good with a single guitar backing, but you've done a great job filling it out with a full band. Super job!

Thanks so much for listening and for the kind words. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment. I actually started this one as a single-guitar version, so it’s great to hear that came across. The full band version was fun to build out, especially the harmonies. Glad you enjoyed it.

“An asteroid struck the earth …” Way back when I joined a public speaking club, we were told to always start with an attention grabber - you delivered right out of the blocks, then there were gems about cockroaches, dog pounds, clown cars, shoplifting and hairless apes. Talk about content overdrive! So interesting to listen to!

Man, I really like the lyrics, Joe. And the chorus harmony is perfect both in pitch and feeling. Very clever write, and very enjoyable. I might've jazzed up the drums a bit, but this is fun from beginning to end, Joe. I searched for your original one, but couldn't find it.
