Cool tune Hans. Loved your instrumentation choices. Excellent vocal, lyric and backtrack. Baritone guitar was very cool. Had a look at your youtube channel. Better deal than soundcloud. Not everyone had the soundcloud app installed on their phones so allot of interested people will skip over the song because of that. Youtube will play in the browser on all devices..

Cool, cool sound you created...starting with that spaghetti guitar and then the fiddle. Such an unique blend. Another good vocal!

Hi Ron, Noel, Lee, Marty, Brian and Mario,
It seems like I'm always too late to reply to your lovely song comments! Of course, I have my excuses, but they're a bit weak. After I post a song, all sorts of ideas for a new one pop into my head. And I want to try them out, and then I forget to reply to you in time. But I'm sure you're all have the same habit and still manage to do your homework on time.

Hi Ron, do you think it's a strange song? And Zen-like? That sounds great to me, Ron. I've never considered myself Zen-like. Strange, yes. But it was precisely that combination that made you like my song so much. Thanks for that! I told my wife I'm a Zen Buddhist... She looked weird at me.

The opening guitar and fiddle are great. When the fiddle started playing, it reminded me of the fiddler in Charlie Daniels Band when they played "The Devil Went Down To Georgia".
It's an easy two thumbs up from me!

Hi Noel, to be honest, the song, like most of my songs, went through several phases. Initially, they're quite nice, but a bit simple (in my opinion). Then I often listen to them and all sorts of ideas pop into my head about what I can change or add. Usually in the middle of the night (to my regret). Like the violins. I thought the song was finished, but a little voice in my head whispered, "No, not finished yet. Something surprising needs to happen. A violin, for example?" But it's very kind of you to say all this. I looked up "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" on Google. That Charlie can sing incredibly fast. I think that's impossible for me. But there are some similarities in the violin playing. Thanks to BiaB, I didn't have to play it myself.

Great song, kind regards.

Hi Lee, thanks for your reply! I'm glad you liked it. I also love Irish songs, like The Pogues (Dirty Old Town). But playing them myself? That's too difficult for me.

Yeah, that fuels the rocket nicely.

Hi Marty, yes, you always get my first drafts and (almost) final drafts. I always heard you thinking, "What the hell am I supposed to say to that Dutchie? It's so weird/ugly, except for the vocals." Until the (almost) final draft. Then you explode or burst out in lyrical outbursts about how beautiful it is. (Honestly, this is all in my imagination, because you're always kind, friendly, and helpful. That's why you (almost) always get my first drafts...). It wasn't until you asked me—in your message—if the vocals could be a bit louder that I thought, "Too late!"

Hi Mario, thanks for your kind compliments, but didn't I tell you NOT to call it my best song? Okay, you didn't say that; you said "One of my best."
But my best songs have already been made, or are yet to be made. So what does it matter? As long as you like the song, it's the best for me!

I was a bit late, but I hope you still appreciate my words.

And I wish you a nice weekend too.
Hans

Hello Bob, Brain, Janice and Bud, Torrey, Janne and Vic,

As I wrote in my last post, it's a challence for me to respond immediatly to your lovely words. And that's why I'm always late (on this, nothing else).
But you know, now I can enjoy your words again, when I try to give some nice words back to you!

LOVE your vocal. You have great tone and it sits in the mix perfectly here.
Everything about this one is excellent!
Bob

Bob, that "Wow" is a great start to a review. "Superb" is too. Even the final word: "excellent"! You should have seen my broad smile after reading this. Thanks a lot!

I really like the story, as well as the way you tell it.
Who wouldn't be tempted to just leave this mess of a planet behind?
Very good production (your new studio seems to be paying off) and really good vocals.
Enjoyed my listen [Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]

Brain, what a title: "Spaghetti Western meets Ireland". Haven't thought of that, but maybe it has to do with the word 'Spaghetti'. Not my most favorite meal.So then I automatically ignore those lines. It also never came in my brain, Brain! (forgive me, had to do this one time only) . Love your review!

The fiddle does indeed give it a happy feeling.
And the piano interplay is very good.

We can relate to the lyric .. why?
Well as we often say to Peter, “beam us over there to Australia, Scotty!”
Excellent BiaB session guys, vocals, write and mix. ALL good smile
Far out!
J&B

J&B: Did you really ask Peter to teleport you to Australia??? That's not far enough. My sister lives there and always complains about three things: the heat, the flooding after rainfall, and the politics. Although life and politics aren't as bad as in some other Western countries, she would still advise you not to be teleported there. Maybe to us? It's crowded, but we have a lot of fun things. And you have me!!!
And our politics... Oh, a small country doesn't really make an impression. But thank you for all those kind words. I really appreciate them, as you know!

The fiddle obviously is heart of the sound and that baritone is the icing on the cake
I always love your vocals, and you sure did deliver a great performance here!
It's like a crazy dream after watching a spaghetti western and then a sci-fi movie.
Nice work as always!
TB

Torrey, when you wrote about what the song would mean in Dublin, you immediately grabbed me. I looked up the fastest route there. Then I realized it's much colder there than where I live. And I don't like the cold. But I really liked your comment about the song! Thanks for that! Although you did use the word "spaghetti." Did you discuss this with Brain?

Melodic and rhytmic, I enjoy the folky elements. And your vocals are strong carrying the song to the moon and beyond. The more I listen to this song, the more I find it extraterrestrially and supernaturally good, let's go to eternity!
Janne

Janne, going to eternity was meant to be a fateful ending. So your cheerful cheering about that journey, you really need to reconsider...
But aside from that mistake, you always put it so beautifully! I always enjoy reading your comments (but remember, I say this to almost everyone, so don't get vain!). Still, I really enjoyed reading what you wrote about my skills. Maybe I'm getting a little vain now?

Vic, you know how to stick to the facts in your answer. Short and brief! I like that, but unfortunately, I can't copy it. Thanks for your compliments and also for the lesson!

Have a productive time, everyone!

And last, but not Least; the two Scotties!

I bet you were both biting your nails because I hadn't responded to your comments yet!
But here I am, and yes, I had to build up the suspense a bit first.
Nope, I was too busy with other things again. That's why! Your comments are far too kind to go unanswered ;-)

Hi Scott, C., Thanks for this brief analysis. You're right, I recently realized that. That's why I've started emphasizing this chanel some more. I always thought everyone could simply click the SoundCloud link and listen to a song. Not so!
And their help with uploading your songs to other music platforms isn't great either. You can't access your own song site to group things together or anything. And no one has ever been able to listen to my songs on Apple Music. Apple support sees something's wrong, but can't do anything about it.

Hi Scott, S, The spaghetti guitar... Great name for that vibrato-baritone guitar! The song was almost finished, but then—in the middle of the night, of course—I suddenly thought I wanted to add a violin. That happens to me often with my songs; almost ready for release, and then I suddenly think of something new to incorporate. And then I noticed the song suddenly sounded much more cheerful. Thanks for your compliments!

Answering all your comments took me quite a while. I hope I've now learned how to prevent this delay in the future...
Hans

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!

Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!

Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.

Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.

Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!

And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. You'll get new country-rhythm guitar styles from PG Music favorites Johnny Hiland and Brent Mason, along with modern-pop grooves that capture today’s radio-ready sound! There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.

The 2026 49-PAK is loaded with other great new add-ons as well. Learn more about the 2026 49-PAK!
