Hi guys! I would like to purchase Melodyne. I use BIAB to create the basic song,Drag and and Drop into Reaper where I can create the magic (backing tracks wise) I am a songwriter. I then add vocals and FX SO....... I know Melodyne can help me. Or another fine product???? If anyone has any advice? Thanx

Exactly what I do with these same applications. The new DNA version of M... works great in R....(32 bit version) , but don't leave out RB in the mix. It allows you to really fine tune the RTs to get the perfect selection. So for me, BIAB - RB - R.... - and of course M... to help me with those high notes.
By the way, I have not been able to load Melodyn as a VST into RB.

I went for the "Editor" version to get the new DNA stuff, But... for vocals, which is all you or I seem to need, I could have save a $100 and gone with Assistant.

Yes the Editor version of Melodyne would be best for your needs. BTW, don't buy it the Celemony site. If you do a little googling you will find several well known online music stores that sell it considerably cheaper than a direct buy from Celemony.

Having just played with the Assistant, I'd buy that because it's for voice tuning. But if you can afford the whole shebang get it unless the upgrade to the Editor is not an expensive update - haven't checked it out yet. I believe the Assistant can also be a standalone as well as a plugin. ANd you can save bucks googling as Keith suggests.

I haven't tried Assistant, but the Editor version is quite powerful (and unique, with DNA), although somewhat tedious to use for more than a few fixes. It also requires a powerful PC and you may have to adjust your buffers on your sound card as I did.
