Hello experts!
since yesterday I got the this strange message on startup, close down and changing songs
Warning: Your current drum kit has no bass drum note assigned
Although it´s possible to delete it by clicking OK, it´s very anoing...
Any ideas?

Hi Michael. This sounds like it's probably a MIDI drum issue. To check this out, the patch map for MIDI drums is found via the information in the image below (in BIAB Preferences/Options). Check to see that '35' is added to the bass drum boxes. One easy fix would be to close the program and delete the file MySetup.dk from the bb\Preferences folder

Thanks Noel! That solved the issue. Unfortunately I noticed Andrews post a little too late, so that I had to change all values manually  BTW: I heard your song and it´s a beautiful piece of music!

That would scare me a bit, and it would have to pause to allow you to save your existing settings (unless it automated that, too). How about a compromise: add a menu option to do this 'complete' reset, within Preferences, Return to Factory Settings? Have that option remove all the files that need to be handled to accomplish a 'complete' reset. Then add a prompt in a yellow message box that strongly suggests taking the action, when warranted. Something like that would still give us control and avoid the instructions that are sometimes given that require users to navigate and delete files. I went for many years never having to do Return to Factory Settings. Then certain years, I had to do it frequently. I suppose that's OK, and even I as a programmer appreciate having a menu option to do that. But I have to wonder when someone asks in the forum about a problem and the answer is that they have to find then delete files. That could seem unnecessarily hazardous to many users, I think.

Yes, agreed. Make this an integrated option as part of the RTFS.
Sending users into folders and asking then to manually delete / move / rename files does present some risks
