It was adopted by Enrico Caruso but it is not known whether he commissioned Cardillo and Sisca to write it. It is the only well-known standard Neapolitan song to have been written in America. The song was sung in the season three finale of The Sopranos by Dominic Chianese in character as Corrado "Junior" Soprano Jr. In my instrumental version I play mandolins (Napolitan and Octave) and guitar. Hi Esa!
Good choice of RealStyle for this, and your own additions to it really added well. To me, it made me think of the music playing to movie credits after and epic life story - sort of like a resolute, measured triumph after a long struggle.
I enjoyed listening and played it twice.
