Something that has bothered me for years is that, while swing feel pushes are spot on, straight feel pushes are too late, rendering them ineffective. Recently, the penny dropped for me, and I realized that they are using the same pushes for swing and straight feels. It amazes me that this has been continuing for so many years. Please, if this bothers you too, go to live chat and bring this up to them, so I'm not just a lone voice in the wilderness. BIAB is mostly fantastic. I've been using it since version 3, but this flaw is a major drawback to my work.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
