Sorry to those who have been able to move into the 2026 system, but I am finding difficult and not enjoying it as much....but will persist. Is it possible to hover the mouse over those dozens of the icons on the desktop and get any information to what is does. This may help to move on. I have no idea how to add a new track to a song....it can't be that hard but had no issues in the 2025 version. Unlike many of you I am not glued to this impressive software (unfortunately) and I do find this is a big change. Many thanks

I think the easiest way is to click the 'eye' icon and select which tracks you want shown.

It sounds like you might have been used to adding tracks using the mixer. That's still possible. In Tracks View, the mixer doesn't show up but it can be activated simply by clicking on the Mixer button in the left hand column.

Like everything else.... when a new version is released, there are new things to learn. Often, they move the things around and it takes time to find your footing again and figure out where things are now located and of course figuring out what the new features are and how they work. There's a learning curve. If you stick with it, in a few weeks time you'll be wondering how you did things before on the old....last years.... software. Then of course, the process repeats itself again in 12 months.
Kinda like when you walk into a store and they have rearranged the entire store and moved things around and now you either have to walk the entire store, or ask someone who works there who then has to consult their phone/app to tell you that it's now on aisle 32 halfway down on the left in bin 27.
