This has nothing to do with Cubase, it can also happen in Standalone (as mentioned above). The white X that you can see in the upper right corner of the plugin Sceen means, that the Style Picker Window has gone to the background. Use <Alt> <Tab> to find and select the Stylepicker Windows. Ludwig, Firstly welcome to the neighborhood. It might be better to start a new post and explain your issues in detail. The existing post is a little dated, and a 'fresh set of eyes' can be beneficial.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
