That's my understanding. In BIAB, the stretching and shrinking is accomplished by using Bar Settings and each bar is given it's own tempo. This is the tempo map. Then when the tracks are generated, BIAB will stretch/shrink the audio to match the tempo map (and the individual tempos in each bar).
