Is there ANY WAY to keep the plugin from trying to reset the sample rate?
Using 2026 plugin, Win 11, Fender Studio Pro but had the same problem with multiple versions of Studio One. Running at 96K.
I know it's designed to run at 44.1.
For reasons that turn into several rabbit holes I can't/won't use 44.1. It would upend everything about the way my environment recording/monitoring environment is set up. YEARS of design, work and expense. Using audiogridder to help sandbox the crashes (so that the crash itself doesn't take the whole Studio Pro session down with it), I can get it to work a good amount of the time with the project (oops, "session") set at 96K. But it still crashes.
The crashes all strongly seem to be happening when the plugin tries to change the sample rate to 44.1 for the whole system.
It seems at this point (been working on this for many many weeks) that if I could just keep the plugin from trying to reset the sample rate, I might be able to stably use the product that I paid so much money for (audiophile version).
There has to be something somewhere in the code that allows the system to not attempt to reset the sample rate.
Customer support is of no help on this.

How does one know that the plugin tries to change the sample rate? is there an error message or something? I can't see any information in the plugin that relates to the sampling rate.

One of the troubleshooting methods I used was to temporarily run through a USB soundcard, an RME babyface. That device is able to automatically change it's sample rate settings, and able to run at 44.1.
When using the DAW plugin there are certain times when the crashes happen, for instance when trying to select a style. At those times, when using the babyface, immediately after going to the styles page, the studio one project had then changed its sample rate from 96 to 44.1.
When using my production devices which can't do 44.1, at those same times, the system crashes.
The reason my production devices won't do 44.1 is that I am using doubled ADAT SMUX to run at 96K. Once that goes into effect, you can't get back down to 44.1.

It does! I have trouble ever since I updated to Fender Studio Pro. So much, that I had to remove Band in a Box from my System, to get rid of the PlugIn. Then the Problems seem to have ended. But still, loading some songs that had the plugIn involved (from earlier Sessions done with Studio One) I get messages that my sample rate needs changing, but the Interface woun't allow. I am working on this problem for days. Neither Fender nor PG Music support have asolution yet. This sample rate thing might be key to finaly solving this issue. I never had these problems running Presonus Studio One, with or without the Biab Plugin. so I guess there is something within Studio pro that causes this. I am about to do more testing with Studio One to make sure. More Info on that to come. After thourough testing, I finaly could pinpoint my issues. The songs stored within Studio One/Studio Pro hold information about the sample rate used (maybe about ASIO turned on or off?) I guess that when the song had the DAW plugIn involved, the plugIns settings would be recalled as well.
Maybe that would not help with anonymouslys issues, but I could isolate the issue I have. And that is changing the Audio Buffer size using ASIO. There is a Demo song included available with Studio One using ATMOS. That song requires a certain buffer size. Loading the song with Windows Audio, the song plays, but is silent, because it could not change the buffer size. Yet - doing the same with ASIO turned on, the DAW crashes and even with a new start, no song can load, DAW crashes all the time. Only when started with options set to "disable ASIO" everything reverts to normal. I am awaiting info from Fender support to confirm. Until this is fixed for good, I will not reinstall Band in a Box. Tackling one problem after the other.

At those times, when using the babyface, immediately after going to the styles page, the studio one project had then changed its sample rate from 96 to 44.1. This happens with me also in Studio Pro 8. I tried the same thing in Cubase 15 and the BIAB DAW plugin works as expected in Cubase. In both DAWs with a 48000 sample rate. So I'm guessing this is an issue with Studio Pro 8.

THANK YOU. It's nice to be given a hint that I didn't have to dig out by myself. Much appreciated.
