I only use this laptop for BIAB so 1TB SSD should be enough?
I have powered BOSE speakers that I feed from a mixer
Tony Depends what version of BIAB. If recent Audiophile FLAC, go with 2tb. If Ultrapak - 1 tb should be fine. You want to have at least 20-30% of space left on HD. ------- Just make sure to research CPU. Your current is i7-5500. That 5500 number... It should be at least 2x higher for meaningful upgrade  From my laptop experience, usually better CPU machines have newer chipsets as well.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
