shlind,
many people here, even very advanced users are used to a certain workflow in BIAB and in a way gave up on advanced editing.
I, on the other hand got into BIAB when big changes started to happen, so my take is a bit different. PGM meaningfully expanded track count, added tools like partial re-generation and likely most impactful features: Track View, re-written Piano Roll & new UI. These made BIAB significantly more "linear" and liberated it from many prior limits. That said, BIAB expansion created certain gaps in workflow / user experience that might not be too obvious when doing basic stuff, but create unease when trying to go deeper and stay longer in the program.

This post is not about laying blame. I am actually optimistic to where PGM can take BIAB. For a small team, considering that they are not only coders, but producers of content - they have my full respect. This post meant to highlight very particular issues that I hope will be resolved ASAP, as these probably do not require significant amount of coding.

P.S. As another member thoughtfully suggested, for a year 2026 to be a "User Experience" year at PGM... +1
