BIAB will sometimes jazz up or down chords depending on the style (I'm thinking MIDI here). So a bebop style will take a specified seventh chord and flat the ninth for you without hesitation. It also seems that when (I may be wrong here) specifying like an altered chord in a more folk or Celtic style, it ignores some extended or altered chord notes. This is all great - this is what BIAB does.

But sometimes I just what to see what BIAB is thinking - so I often watch the BIAB keyboard to get that insight. The best way I have found is to to use the pnosimp4 style which just plays (in the piano part) the chord notes for a duration equal to that of the chord (like whole notes). And nothing else. This is great - Just what I want! BUT it plays the root in the guitar part (with piano voicing). So in looking at the keyboard, I can't see the whole thing.

So my wish is for a new style in which all specified chord tones just drone for the chord duration, and all tones are in only the piano part.

(If there is a style like this now, let me know)
