This is only a thought, I don’t know it is possible or a good idea but maybe it would be useful if BIAB could import a Tempo Map as part of a midi file.

Then one could create a midi with tempo map from the audio in some other software e.g. SMP (and Reaper I think) and then import it into BIAB. To create tempo maps in SMP and Studio Pro only takes a few seconds.

Maybe that could save some of the effort having to work through ACW to make a tempo map, and only use ACW when required for some minor adjustment if necessary.

Since other software can read midi files with tempo maps eg Studio Pro and Reaper, it ought to be possible also for BIAB to be able to read it since BIAB already can import and read midi files.
I am not sure if tempo maps in midi files have a standard format, but other software seem to be able to read it ok.
