I'm truly grateful for all your feedback as it's made this a much better representation of the original idea. Thank you. Sometimes these old, beat-up ears need a little help. The original post follows: This is a new song. Quick relevant background points - I've always had dog sidekicks since I was a very young child. Every one has been important in my life. As well, my father was a big fan of jazz violinist Stephane Grappelli with his beautiful melodic flourishes over swing 8 rhythms. BIAB has done a great job of capturing that style in the Gypsy Jazz Ballad Fiddle soloist RealTrack. So I'm rolling all this up and throwing it at you in this tune. Unfortunately Tony Bennett isn't available, so you're stuck with my vocal. Mick, sweet song and smart arrangement. Nice use of these always-excellent BiaB styles. Creativity points to you for the vocal arrangement. Like your vocal performance a lot, too. A little less reverb and doubling(?) on the vocals would be more authentic to the genre, and your vocals would hold up well with less, at least to my ears. Well done!

Hi Mick!
A good song, and I agree with Ron - maybe too much FX on certain vocal passages that I would have loved to hear clearer. Don’t get me wrong, I love your song - it has a very happy feel and suited to two friends.
At first I thought you were going to say you called your canine friend ‘Houdini’ because he kept escaping?

IMO - Sections of the vocals were hard to make out do to the effects

Ah, right from the first brush hitting the snare I was hooked, Mick. Tony's more into duos these days. Give him a ring. OR else keep this as is. It's perfect. Yep, fine vocals, and I really like the arrangement. Love that tickling piano, and the drummer is my kinda player. Excellent production, Mick. Much fun. (Your dad showed great taste too, and you're the shiny apple laying at the his roots.)

As others have already noted, the reverb on the vocals is a little too much, but apart from that, it's a pretty good song.

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track.
