The Solitary Flight of a Butterfly

My most adventurist trip into ambient music yet.

BiaB Style - Prayer - Very Slow Trance - Like
Tempo - 55 BPM
I deleted the drums and guitar tracks
Bass - Swam Double Bass Section

Piano track copied 2 times
piano 1 = Kontakt - Amadaeus - Full String Ensemble
piano 2 - Kontakt - Kurt Hunter's Virtuoso Violas
piano 3 - AAS - Ultra Analog 3 - Strings 2 - Octave

Strings copied
strings 1 - Kontakt - Solid State Orchestra
strings 2 - Kontakt - Veloce Strings

Utility - EastWest - Opus - Symphonic Choir - Full Choir
The nylon string guitar is from MIDI loops - Kontakt - Amadaeus - nylon guitar

Via my breath and keyboard controllers I am playing the Swam variflute ( Shakuhachi), Viola, French horns 1&2, and via my keyboard controller the space vibes, it sounds nothing like a vibraphone.

I copied a section of the flute and changed it into an English horn track and an oboe track.

As Always all comments are welcomed.

Mario,

It's clear that you put a lot of effort into this piece.
The ambience created by the many instruments is beautiful.
The woodwind performances using the breath controller are fantastic.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Very beautiful, Mario. That first descent of the butterfly is stunning, and the spell is never broken. Wonderful movement and thematic consistency throughout. Just lovely. Would have thought the landing at the end would be slightly more graceful, but the flight of a butterfly isn't so predictable, is it?

Next level stuff. Again...

Thanx so much Shigeki. I'm a novice when it comes to orchestration but I am learning.

Thanx Lee. I have been listening to ambient, new age, and soundscapes for years and now I have the VSTis and knowledge to attempt it.

Shigeki’s review says it all.
And his compliments are based so much on knowledge of masterful arrangements.

We love this musically and the images it conjures up for us.
We often visit a pollinator park to watch butterflies.
(we even shot a vid there smile )

Your performances, the great arrangement and mix were much enjoyed by us.
This is more than worthy of a film track.

Holy Whoa! Your creativity is boundless, Mario. Maybe everyone's is, but they're too afraid to venture. This adventure of yours is truly magnificent. Oh, man, I wanna do tunes like this --always imagined I would, but I must be too afraid, huh? You are one amazing musicman, Mario. I listen to this and it can be used in so many different situations --so many different feelings. I have no idea how you do this, Mario, but I am so glad you do. Thank so much for sharing.

Enjoy whatever happens!
