Hello fellow musicians! As I was messing around with Band-in-a-Box's Notation, I stumbled across the Guitar Chords Diagram within Notation View. Since this is more of a niche function, it felt right to bring this to light and give an easy access guide or quick reminder on the setting. Let's go over the steps needed to apply this setting to your song project!

1. Make sure you are applying a style using guitar (This will work with both MIDI and RealTrack guitars)!

2. Head into your Notation view (CTRL-W). There will be an option on the toolbar within Notation View to set your instrument, set it to the guitar or bass track. Once your instrument is selected, go to the OPT. button located on the toolbar to open Notation Window Options (or the cogwheel button on the right-side for 2026 versions).

3. Once in your Notation Settings, please navigate to Guitar Chord Diagrams, this will be in the center top of this window. Here is a screenshot of this setting![Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]

4. Select the type of guitar tablature you'd be using, we have lots of different instruments as well as jazz/high jazz for more experienced players.

5. Click OK out of the window and you will have Guitar tablature to play along with!

Notes worth mentioning:
- Guitar tablature will work with generated chords, as well as most standard chords you input yourself, but it may not recognize anything out of its range that would be typically impossible to fret on a real guitar. If nothing shows up that is most likely why!
- You must have chords inputted in the Chord Sheet for these guitar diagrams to pop up. No inputted notes, no tablature!

What a great tool for having a visual diagram to follow along with your song, or even using it as an educational tool whilst creating! Two birds, one stone.
