Ok, I think it's time to up-grade.
Here is my profile::: Amature hobbyist musician, plays in local band, plays to own backtracks, does not know keyboard or guitar, but understands music, relies on help from musician friends for musical arrangements, medium computer savey, only uses Audacity for mixing, retired and broke...!
System::: 32 bit Windows 7, 3.00GB RAM, 4800+2.5GHz processor.
So, what do you recommend.???
Thanks, Walt

I'd wait a month, ask Sales if you buy now if you get a free upgrade to 2011. Or maybe until December 1. Save a few bucks. Get the whole thing, (but not Audiophile), and go for the hard drive version, install it, and park the hard drive as a backup. Those are my suggestions, however you could just upgrade to 2010.5 and then upgrade to 2011. Unless something crazy happens 2011 should be available at least a few weeks before Xmas.

John, as the sales rep said, she will notify me when the new version is released.
Meanwhile, I would really like to get the rendering problem solved. Any suggestions.???
Thanks, Walt

What rendering problem??

And by the way 3G of RAM for a Win 7 machine sounds awful shy of spec.

Are you changing instruments with F5 at the bar in question? I think you cannot do what you want in Band in a Box but need RealBand for that. You make multiple solos and mute and unmute then on the many tracks you get. Midi soloists in Band in a Box are limited to one as far as I know and that's with the current version. An upgrade won't fix that issue, at least in my mind.

Ya John, Jazzmandan said the same thing.
Yes I change instruments.
What I haven't tried is, doing one soloist track, deleting the other 2 and take a see...!???
Thanks

This may come out looking sarcastic in print but is not meant to be:

Have you seen how much Biab is these days with a good collection of Real Tracks/Styles?

Glad to hear it Harpster.
You didn't state which was the last version of BiaB you had.
But there is a huge difference between the older versions and the current 2010.5.
You'll be amazed.
Good luck and have fun!
