Shakuhachi is just about my favorite World instrument, so I knew I was going to like this one, I don't think the sample sounded as realistic as BIAB's RT, but it is still pretty good. Great job with this piece, Mario, one of your best!

I really enjoy the variety of music on this forum and you are one of its brightest stars, very productive with always quality music showing your creativity and originality. This is another perfect fruit of hard work with MIDI. Epic and gentle atmosphere, calming tempo, chord progression painting moods from lightness to dangers. acoustic guitar and flute work smoothly together and the strings provide the wings for this butterfly to fly and spread her magic dust. Excellent playing, adventurous in many ways, lovely storytelling, thanks for sharing your trip.

Thanx so much for this wonderful review. I'm sure you could compose music like this if you tried.
One thing in my favor is that after playing in wedding bands for years I am a jack of all genres but a master of none. Hence I don't have the guitar licks that most of guitarists have. Back in the day some of my guitarist friends said I sold out by going the wedding band route. I laughed all the way to the bank. They stopped playing years ago as their music faded into the sunset and I'm still hacking it out playing!

Thanx Bob. The Shakuhachi is from the Swam VariFlute and you are correct it is not as good sounding as the RT. I did find another better sounding one from my EastWest sounds after I posted this song.

This is a sweet sip of nectar. The nylon guitar sets the gentle mood of the piece, which progresses into a lush, gorgeous masterpiece. Excellent work with the midi instruments. I like the conversation between the two instruments in the different sections.

Hi Mario,
You use many different instruments that complement each other beautifully.
The swelling of the music beautifully visualizes the fluttering of that butterfly. In my imagination, I can actually see it doing this. You can follow its journey until it finally lands somewhere for the last time.
In any case, I enjoy listening to your music this way.

At first, I thought I'd already heard "Butterfly," but that was a different song of yours. Those butterflies add a beautiful dimension, don't you think?
Beautiful song, wonderful atmosphere!

Hans

Thanx so much Scott. I am still on a learning curve with this genre so I greatly appreciate your kind words.
