When Organs Join Together (SoundCloud)
When Organs Join Together (YouTube)

While looking for inspiration for new compositions, here is something quite old. Originally written more than 10 years ago, a musical song for a movie that was never done. First there was the title which I really liked and then I built a song around it, ambigious, yes, but don't let it scare you smile The human body is an amazing machinery with its different organs doing their wonderfully detailed job, even one simple cell is a small factory in itself... and they all work together like a symphonic orchestra. In 2012 version I used a Vocaloid, but now that synth voices are really good, I wanted to finish this song with them.

AI - I didn't check my lyrics with AI tools, but maybe I should have, because even after 10 years I found more issues to fix, wrong stressings and pronunciations, noticed when everything was almost finished - and I'm sure you'll find a bunch more of them (while I was writing this text, I found out that Synth V pronounces 'timbres' like 'timbers', I guess that is incorrect...). AI was used in the music, but only in the heartbeat sound that was created by AI... and then the video is quite AI-ish. AI wasn't very willing to create hybrids of human organs and instruments, some pictures were even censored... but I think the video is good enough to get into the mood of my absurd ideas wink

BIAB - offering solid instruments once again, I almost kept the original arrangement, but then decided to try some new tools like Tonalic Essential and because the original mix was done in Adobe Audition and it is really slow to use I moved to Cakewalk Sonar. What is really missing in the arrangement is a real symphonic orchestra, sorry, I don't have skills, time or money for such a beast and BIAB is lacking in this area, so I have only a basic chord track played via The Orchestra...

Synth V vocals - nice chance to utilize musical voices like Asterian and Lang Chuan, and I think they sound great. And the first try to use new chord collection voices, they sound great, too. And I used also Weina, Natalie, Nyl, Felicia, Jun, NOA Hex.

RealDrums: used but didn't find more information
RealTracks:
Fretless Bass #2937, wish there were more fretless RTs, because this one doesn't sound soft enough
Sax solo #588, what a great sound, a perfect match for love ode
Electric guitar jazz funk #1638
Electric guitar jazz pop #1236
Electric guitar alt #832
Electric guitar solo #1167
Acoustic piano Rhythm New Age #3669

MIDI:
muted guitar (VST?)
chord track (The Orchestra Complete)

Other:
Tonalic Essential - I had used very nice sounding acoustic guitar RT, but decided to try this new tool by Celemony and I think it sounds pretty cool and it is easy to use.

Mixed in Cakewalk Sonar (Ozone 12, Aurora, Neutron 5)

Lyrics:

Feel this cosmic symphony
interpreting the universe in us
sparkling dance of the quarks.
Mind is the conductor
the heart's a human drum
synapses vibrating
when fingers make a strum.
Vessels carrying the source code
hormones telling the right mode
muscles singing the love ode.

Hear this lush ensemble of strings
synchronizing the elements of works
DNA is the score.
Through the evolution
each organ with a skill
timbres, tonal ranges
own purpose to fulfill.
Instruments of a being
in unison they are breathing
undying time they are beating.

When the organs join together
they form an entity
each violin playing its part
in the orchestra of love
in perfect harmony.

See this flawless structure of things
executing procedures of your life
pursuing enduring laws.
Voices of creation
affection from the lips
sensations down the spine cord
to the movements of the hips.
Germ cells swimming a slick route
the final straight for a new sprout
mitosis ready to spread out.

When the organs join together
they form an entity
each violin playing its part
in the orchestra of love
in perfect harmony.

When the organs join together
they form an entity
each violin playing its part
in the orchestra of love
in perfect harmony.

When the organs join together
they merge into one body
something bigger than the sum of its parts
in the masterwork called you and me.

When I saw the title my immediate thought was it's got to be about church organs, pipe organs .......I thought there's no way it could mean what it sounds like it could mean....... Oh my, the lyrics revealed the dark reality.... Yes, it's about THAT!

Classical vocals and all.

That was "interesting", to say the least

Janne, this is another magnum opus from you, to be sure. Great lyrics, but challenging to sing. It's amazing how well the prosody worked, though there were some difficult phrases. I couldn't quite figure out what you were doing as regards the lead vocal. It sounds fuzzy to me, I wish you'd have let Asterian just sing simply to let the lyrics shine through. If that's his natural timbre, I'd wish for a different singer from your stable. Liked the chorus. Glad that you kept this secular - there are many who would not have, unfortunately. (In 'Murka, anyway.) Great job, your creativity knows no bounds!

Janne, an interesting piece of music for sure.
I agree in that it sounds like it would fit into a musical.
I had problems understanding the vocal in a lot of spots
I believe this has a lot of potential.
