YEAH! This tip, drag tracks from BIAB to RB worked, including the Bar mute and unmute events, and volume! The track(s) volume was lowered a bit in BIAB thus when dragged into RB it was too quiet, so returned to BIAB and made it the max, was set at 12, and updated RB file where I can set it to the volume to suit the song!

Thanks,
Frank

JohnJohnJohn, PG Music has not published a list of features available in the main Band-in-a-Box program that do not work in Realband (or the DAW plugin although you haven't mentioned or asked regarding the plugin). There is nothing in either the Band-in-a-Box or Realband user manuals about what features transfer between programs. I have not seen any user mention in a forum post that anyone has created a list and offered such a list to fellow users. Over the years there have been several wishlist requests in the Band-in-a-Box and Realband sections for a feature transfer list.

That list would probably do well to come from someone like you Jim.
Someone that uses a lot of the BiaB functions in order to learn what doesn't come over.

If I did it, it would be a shorter list.

bykhed01.
heres some added points.

1..very important...to keep organised ensure all work done in RB is saved
in THE SAME SONG DIR that BB is saved to.
so lets say the song is called 'rockin my harley'(RMH)...
all work done in bb and rb is saved to RMH.
i mention this because some users get in a pickle sometimes
locating where their work was saved.

2..Volume....there are many ways in rb to deal with vols without going to/fro
bb. i dont have time right now to explain...sorry.
would take pages.
but heres a 'quickie way'...
if a tracks vol is too low just duplicate the track onto a new track
in rb tracks view and then change the faders of both the
original and the duplicate to what you want.
(Note...i always ensure at the same time i ensure the stereo master level
for the song....tops out at -3 on the meter.).
another trick is to reduce the vols of the tracks that are
overwhelming the track in question.

as your probably aware there are loads of tricks to get the
best out of rb. the free pg dx fx plugins are a goldmine..
(some of the songs in my sig only used them.).
talking of plugins...heres another goldmine of plugins...
some of which emulate outboard gear costing thousands we
used to use in commercial studios years ago.
(DONT UNDERESTIMATE THEM JUST COS THEY ARE FREE...)...

rock on...

om.

my songs....mixed for good earbuds...(fyi..my vocs on all songs..)
https://soundcloud.com/alfsongs
(90 songs created useing bb/rb)
(lots of tips of mine in pg tips forum.)
