I've been aware for a while that I have all the current software and data installed, but the Install manager still reports some as "Not Installed". I've now started another download of the 'uninstalled' stuff to see if that will settle it.

I have the "Downlod/install files sequentially" box checked, but it's downloading simultaneously.

Version 1.0.92.

Gordon,

I've noticed this too. I could well be wrong, but my interpretation of this is that if an install file is modified (for future downloads) due to updates that have occurred in the release of various builds, that install file will appear as no longer installed because it has changed from what was originally installed. This way, install files are always providing the most recent build that is available.

Yes, that may well be so.
I just flagged what appears to be odd.

Addendum, the 'sequential' Download/Install did the downloads simultaneously, bu failed to do some of the installs. Interestinmgly in my next batch download it seems to be doing them sequentially as requested. Odd. I did use the big "download and install all" button both times.

Having just instyalled everything again, except the 2025 programs, everything else does now report as installed, except the 2026 49-pack, which resolutely stays as uninstalled. So probably Noel's observation is correct for the others. I've definitely downloaded the FLAC files more than once, but maybe they've had multiple updates?

At the second tranche of download+installs, they also seemed to progress sequentially, though the first tranche definitely didn't.

Thanks. Some installer files are updated periodically and if there is a newer file (installer) available it will not show 'Installed' status - instead there is a message "Newer file available". However it seems that if you happen to have removed the old (previous) installer from your download folder, this message would not appear.

This has been improved in 1.0.99 Now the message ("Installed but newer file available") appears if it was previously installed, even if the installer no longer exists. https://www.pgmusic.com/support.updates.win.dm.htm

I'm not sure about the sequential download issue - I couldn't seem to duplicate that.

I'm not sure that I quite understand the explanation, but it doesn't matter much. The improvement will definitely help clarify. That will be especially helpful where big FLAC downloads are involved.

It went away for me also. If I find out how it came about and/or can make it repeatable, I'll update the post or post again.

Hi Andrew,

I've just had that happen again and I think it may be when I click each package to download, rather then the "Download and install all" button. Maybe that's expected behaviour, though it's unexpected for me.
