Thats a tough one lasting 10 years. I think all the software suppliers tend to want to upgrade any piece of hardware out of existence.
When I was about to retire I decided to purchase a strong enough computer to last me until my fingers didnt work anymore, I was using win 10 when the computer was purchased. It has a i7-7700 processor. Plenty of power to last me then a couple of years later win 11 was announced but only 17-7810 processors were compatible. I had TPM 2.0 and secure boot enable but no go. Then Win10 was going out of the support window. Coming from an IT background only one solution. Hack the registry and turn of the installation "test". I am now running Win110with 25H2 and all is good some minor issues with usb ports and some usb extender boards were incompatible but all is good and workin good. So if you some computer skills you can extend the life of your computer if you want to have the latest software and gear. But like Ray has done if you like your set up and the machine is dedicated to music only you can take it off line.
