fj Thanks Floyd! Re the opening, I am assuming you're referring to the drums? It was a basic step-input VST drum with just kick and snare. I think I added FX to it, and when I solo'd it, I thought "That gives an atmosphere", so I used it in the intro and outro. I find I this 'accidental creativity' is one of the pleasant joys of arranging and production. Thanks for listening! Andrew

It all sounds excellent on the Kalis. Thanks J&B! My hope is that the melody, harmony and feel reflect the love of a father for his daughter, rather than the apocalyptic context - although I tried to introduce some elements to illustrate the despair. The vocals are very good …
They and the song have a Paul McCartney feel as well. I have always loved Macca’s songwriting and vocal, and he’s had a significant influence on my own music, either directly or indirectly via other artists. After viewing the recent doco ‘Man on the run’, I reviewed his solo/Wings output and he has a discography that many would envy. Excellent video.
Loved the real clips! I prefer not to use AI for video where I can. My wife tells me that AI data centres use huge amounts of power and water, and with SA being the driest state on the driest continent, we need to preserve our water, and despite SA hitting 100% renewables power. I use Microsoft Clipchamp for videos with access to the library of video, and I’ve got my method for doing this that seems to work. Thanks for listening and viewing! Andrew
