I just had a play around with the time mapping (ACW) and stem splitting in BIAB in order to be able to generate some RTs for a song.
It seems to work fine but it took me long time to come to that conclusion and try to understand what is going on.
Dragging in an audio file into the audio track and then marking up the time map in ACW and analyzing the chords seems to work ok.
Now making a stem split on the audio track with the time map to generates the stems in sync with them main audio is where it starts to confuse me. The stems are generated ok but..
In the track view when looking at the audio waves for the stems and comparing them with the audio wave for the master audio track the stems are all “visually out of sync” with the audio track. But the stem files themselves are in sync with the audio track it is only the “visual representation” that are out of sync.
It is easy to check that the actual stem files are in sync when listening to a stem individually and comparing it with the main audio file, and also exporting all the stems and main audio and check them in another software like a DAW that shows the visual audio wave files correctly, they are all in sync.
Since I am not normally using this I might have missed something or doing something wrong but otherwise I wonder if it can be set somewhere to show the waves correctly in sync or otherwise what is the purpose of showing the audio waves out of sync with the main audio.

"showing the audio waves out of sync with the main audio." Trying to guess here. Are you talking about when switching views, screen is not centered at the position that you were working in previous view?
Or the actual waveform "image" looks different from what you would expect it to be if you are on the correct location/position of the view you are saying it is visually out of sync?
One simple "trick" to check is to detach view (Ctrl+ click on view button) in question and see if cursor moves properly where it visually should on detached view.
It is the actual waveform image in the track view for the main audio track and all stems. The stems images are all out of sync with the main audio track image. But checking them in a daw they are all in sync. And they all play in sync in BIAB listening to them one by one and comparing them with the main audio track.

Attached are the BIAB track view with the main audio file and all the stems the audio file has been time mapped via ACW and and then stem separated They all play in sync.
The cursor playing the main audio is on a vocal top, and when "solo" the vocal stem below it is playing the same vocal at the same time, but the vocal top in the audio stem is not there it is far later. it seems that the time map has been applied to both the master audio and the stem tracks ok but that the visual representation of the stems have not being adjusted to reflect that.
Also attached is the same files exported from BIAB (drag/drop) and into SP, and there they are all lined up in sync (i have not adjusted the time line for the bars) i.e. the same as they are played in BIAB.
(I probably don't know what I am doing, and it does not matter since it seems to work, only problem is that one can not follow along with the stem tracks).
