Superbly dark, darkly beautiful. Truth rarely is happy-clappy. Well done, Marty ... and good job, Dave, adding musical sauce and spice to the song alike the best chefs ... without being noticed too much Bravi.

The Thought Police are definitely scary. But your wry sense of humor is on display with this production. Oh, snd we love puns.
We are big believers of the “go outside in nature and free your mind and find your soul” philosophy. And we know you are too.
Your’s and Dave’s performances are excellent. Dave’s fills work especially well with the organ.
That supportive vid must have taken a lot of forethought Those. Brains.
Enjoyed it!

Hi Marty, I don't know how, but I must have missed this song. Although it sounded very familiar, and even those scary images in your video reinforced that feeling.
Anyway, I'll pretend I'm hearing it for the first time, okay? On YouTube, I wrote that it's an "ICE" cold song. If it gets too much for you, you're welcome in our country. Well... you do have to learn the language, but that won't be a problem for someone with your talents!
A very good song, cynical, but with a realistic undertone. You can also perform it beautifully, disarmingly even, with your singing style. Because, as always, your singing is very good. And that makes—even—this song enjoyable to listen to!

Glad you managed to make this song without getting batoned by the police of mind, you are revealing hidden truths Clever lyrics and they work on several levels, nice/horrifying images like lobotomy slice and clipping wings. Solid bass playing and Dave's guitar is painting the warning sign in front of us. "Don't let them take your will" is the best advice to keep in your mind every day. Stay away from algorithms (and go your own way)! Janne

Acute observations.
Cool tune well played Thanks, Herb. I refer you to my YT comment. ...and my reply to you, Chay. Thanks again. Depressing but important song about how we are our own brain police. Love the lyrics and the idea behind it. Great work by everyone involved ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/images/icons/default/thumbs_up.gif) Thanks, Brain. Superbly dark, darkly beautiful. I like the oxymorons. Spice Dave... I like that too.

I was going to tell you what I think about the song, but I have been instructed not to say a thing.
Cool groove and that bass sound superb, Another great guitar solo. Very enjoyable all around. Love the last note at the end.

People overly influenced by social media and living in a virtual police state doesn't sound like a lot of fun. But this song is - notwithstanding its dark and dire tone Great work here from the usual suspects. Dave's guitar fills and solo are worth the price of admission alone. Well done Marty. It's a thought-provoking song but I admit I was hoping against hope the last verse contained some solutions or suggestions. Oh well, back to the cell. Cheers, Mike

J&B Thanks, you two. Yep, we read from the same hymn book for sure. Right?! Glad you said that about the organ and Dave. I noticed the same thing. Dave is such a good listener, and that is so important when playing with others. Hi Marty, I don't know how, but I must have missed this song. Although it sounded very familiar, and even those scary images in your video reinforced that feeling.

Hans Think i might know how, Hans. It's the same reason i tell my wife we could watch a movie she says we already saw. We won't start to get that "been-here-befre" feeling until at least half way through, and even then we couldn't tell you how it ends. It's one of the benefits of being old. ICE has no problems with me, but that doesn't mean i have no problems with them. So thanks for the invite. Glad you managed to make this song without getting batoned by the police of mind, you are revealing hidden truths Clever lyrics and they work on several levels, nice/horrifying images like lobotomy slice and clipping wings. Stay away from algorithms (and go your own way)! Janne Thanks, Janne. I'm not totally unscathed; there are some scars I'm sure. Haha, I found some lobotomy clips that weren't too gruesome, and of course not very accurate. We think alike, my friend. I was going to tell you what I think about the song, but I have been instructed not to say a thing.
Cool groove and that bass sound superb, Another great guitar solo. Very enjoyable all around. Love the last note at the end. Thanks, Scott. Good boy (pat on the head). Hey, I like your new profile pic, but it doesn't look like the guy who sings all those cool Ghosts That Never Lived songs. People overly influenced by social media and living in a virtual police state doesn't sound like a lot of fun. Woohoo, I see you have another post here, and that's one of my next stops for sure. The only honest suggestion (the lobotomy idea was, of course, facetious) can be found in the last line of the Bridge: You gotta turn them off in your mind to live your own life your own way. Takes a lot of work.
