A couple of things spring to mind...

1. Do you have the latest update for your version of Realband? It might pay to check the following link, scroll to your version of RB, download the latest update and install it (with Realband closed).

2. If you are running RB in Windows Vista or 7, it could be the User Account Control that is creating problems as this will stop files being written to the hard drive (UAC assumes everything that wants to write to the hard drive is a virus until you tell it that it's not!)
