Very cool. A lot of your stuff has that "Sgt. Pepper" thing going on. Nice!
This track really grabbed me right from the start. The songwriting is super tight, and the lyrics just hit perfectly for this vibe. Everything gels together so well. And the production? Very crisp—everything pops and feels professional. Love it. Thanks David! I have been immersed in that Sgt. Pepper soup all my adult life, so I guess it’s bound to come out. I’d prefer to think of myself as a White album* listener. Sometimes, I feel like Sgt Pepper is just too much sugary sweetness all at once, and I need some ‘savoury’ that the white album provides - its rough edges and its genre range. Thanks for listening and your generous comments! Andrew * I have to thank my good friend K-Dub Ya (aka Lee) for putting a recording of the White album on a cassette for me back when we were 15-ish. In my mind, I am still used to ‘Julia’ finishing 15 seconds early when it was cut off when the tape ran out.
