Hi Marty, K-Dub Ya, Chay, Arri and Floyd,
Although I am naturally late, I still want to thank you for your kind reactions to this song.
I knew it was a difficult story, especially because it concerns a Dutch political subject, sung in that language and featuring names of people you have probably never heard of, except (maybe) Orbán, Netanyahu, and Putin. But the elections were two weeks ago and I apparently got lucky; he lost, my windows are still intact, and my car isn't on fire.

Anyway, yes, I think this is terrific. For those who don't know Dutch as well as I do can still understand the meaning. You convey a common feeling felt 'round the world these days, and present it with the comic twist it deserves. At least your guy is out the door.

Hi Marty, even on WhatsApp you didn't complain that I hadn't replied to your nice comment yet. That was great. Yes, you were talking about one thing: you realized that I had thrown you under it carefully, so the tires couldn't crush you. We need you all here!
And he isn't completely gone yet, but it's close. You know, we have many political parties (about fourteen now) instead of the two you have. I think two parties isn't good for such a large country, although fourteen or more isn't ideal either. Solution: somewhere in the middle, like you and the bus...

Great song Hans.

Haha, K-Dub (I couldn't remember your name for a moment, sorry), thanks, and yes, a real toe-tap tune, that's the right word! I did my best to involve DT, but that creep I sang about was too vague about those relationships. Only Netanyahu, that good friend of DT's, was involved. That man sponsored the guy in the song, but to this day he refuses to say anything about it. That sounds familiar, given DT's tax evasion (and everything else), right?

Danish Jan Oberg who founded the Transnational Foundation for Peace & Future Research is an FB contact, so I hear a lot about the far right there and neighbouring lands. The Foundation has come up with really good new systems for peace talks and solving other international squabbles, but when they've managed to get a UN meeting, foreign ministers appear to introduce their representatives and then vanish as they have no interest in peace and their rep's are only there to report back how 'dangerous' the new ideas for peace talks are for the arms trade and secret services! laugh The artificial world is insane and the politicians are crazier!

Hi Chay, what kind words you used. Thank you! And what a great name you gave that Israeli Prime Minister. I think I'll start using that from now on...
And yes, your observation aligns very well with mine. I don't understand why right-wing movements are gaining popularity these days. But that leads to a long discussion, and we shouldn't want that here. Maybe we are the crazies, because we don't see the new truth.

I liked your song, but maybe you should once more remix it to get more clearity. I have a bad tendency to use too much reverberation and delay to sort of hide my weak vocals and same time giving it more power, but ending up to a muddy sound. I try to get rid of it and trust more to my natural clang of my voice.

Hi Arri, thanks for your reply and your comments about the difficulties you encounter when using another language or translating the original language into English. You almost never manage to translate the right words and nuances of the original language really well. But your comments about the lack of clarity in my song (and as you have noted in most of my recent songs) are a mystery to me. I asked you to show me in which part of my songs you hear this, but unfortunately, you never responded. I don't hear it myself, and I haven't heard anything about it from others either, so what can I do?

Hi Floyd, thanks for your clear, concise, and powerful perspective on this song. And every sentence is also a compliment. I really appreciate reading that!

The next song will be in Turkish,
Hans
