The only vocal band who's music evoked that vibe for me was Country Joe & the Fish back in the 60s, particular some of the tracks on the "I Feel Like I'm Fixin' To Die" album, such as "Janis" ( made for JJ), and "Pat's Song". When I was at art college in the late 60s CJ & the Fish ended a UK tour there - though there was a new guy on keyboards and the drummer and bassist were from Big Brother & the Holding Company - and I got to talk with CJ. A group of us art students were to do the light show for the performance, but then the daft students union said we still had to pay to get in, so we said 'frack that' and gave up on the light show so we could enjoy the performance. I showed CJ some of the slides I'd made for the light show and he signed one for me. He was super-friendly. That was 57 or 58 years ago and I was only 17! … Now I really feel old! laugh

Thanx Chay for this wonderful review. I also liked Country Joe & the Fish; it must of been fantastic meeting him. I hear you about getting old. I'll hear an oldie but goodie then the MC will say that was number one 60 years ago. Good lord I remember and in many cases played that song back then!

Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!
