< "You can also audition a style by actually playing it over the current chord progression of your song.
The green arrow button plays your song with the currently highlighted style.">

BIAB 2026 does still do this. In this updated StylePicker, there are multiple options that are determined by the user making selections and pressing various buttons to customize user preferences and how the StylePicker reacts. From the comments, it seems the process to set preferences aren't being completed.
I tested and successfully used the green arrow play button to play the currently highlighted style.

Rustyspoon# and AurealiusB are correct the style has to be loaded for each style to play over the users chord chart.

Styles can be auditioned without the need to open an alternate session of BIAB because the user can set preferences for the styles to be automatically saved or audition styles without saving. BIAB can save a list of up to 250 of the most recent chosen styles. User can mark up to 250 styles during style auditions as favorites as well. These lists can be saved as sets and the sets can be saved and loaded for future use if the project is reopened in the future. Every project can have it's own list of recent auditioned searches and marked favorites making it easy to return to any previous style.

When the user has selected to play a style over the project chords, the curser can be moved to any location on the chord sheet even choruses beyond the first 32 bars using the time line or clicking on any visible bar.

< I never use the demo, why would I?>
For the StylePicker, to play styles that are highlighted when the Green Play button is clicked it defaults to the demo if one is available. It's sometimes useful when a user isn't working on a project and only wants to audition styles. There are multiple options that can be set to customize for the StylePicker to react like the user prefers.

In the current StylePicker, the Apply, Generate and Demo buttons are active buttons that affect how the Style Picker reacts according to the selections in the (+) sub menu beside the Demo button.

For instance, a style can play over the chord sheet playing the set tempo of the Style and not change to the chord sheet tempo or it can play the style over the project's tempo if it's different than the style's tempo.

Here's some instructions you can use to test on your programs:

Unclick all of the selections in the (+) sub menu
Populate the Chord Sheet with a chord progression
Open the StylePicker
Select and load a Style
1st test - enter the green play button and the style plays over the chord chart at the chord chart tempo setting if it's different from the style tempo.

2nd test - Press the Demo button and the style demo plays
Double click on the highlighted style and the style demo plays.

3rd test - With the highlighted style playing over the chord chart, select the next style above or below the highlighted style so it's highlighted and press the Apply button and the new highlighted style plays over the chord sheet. This step can be done repeatedly auditioning numerous styles over the user's chord progression and chord sheet settings.

To keep this short, I'll stop at this point and only advise that selecting the Double Click plays the Chord sheet selection from the (+) sub menu changes how the above tests react. Experiment to help determine how the StyleMaker reacts that works best for you.

Note that selecting the double click option in the (+) sub menu causes the Generate button to become bold.
