It is and I don't worry overmuch about them, though the point made by the "switch off at the wall" advocates is that the LED may use virtually nothing, but the power losses in the PSU and so on are much less insignificant.

It all pales away totally againsr 7.4kW for hours for an EV, though.

I power my PCs down. Mostly habit, but partly that if I don't force a full shift-power-down on Windows, then it leaves some data, um, unsettled and Linux, quite reasonably then declines to work with an unclean filesystem.

I also think my laptop battery lasts better if I do a full powerdown, though that might be in my head ...I've never bothered to try to prove or disprove it.
