Ideally, I would prefer a "smart" tool not dials or settings. Unfortunately "Right Click > Erase" is not saved on re-open (I've reported this) along with about 1/2 a dozen other items that prevent smooth workflow in Piano Roll and about same amount of bugs. From my understanding these (at least most) will be fixed this year. I am patiently waiting. However, patience is not made out of rubber  On the bright side, re-imagined Piano Roll is definitely a huge step up. I am able to complete much more in BIAB than before. One workflow tip if you have a second screen... detach Piano Roll from UI (Ctrl+click on Piano Roll icon on side panel), put it secondary monitor. It is significantly better working with Piano Roll full screen along whatever other screen set you are using than in docked mode. Lets bring this conversation back, when we get the patch that addresses known issues in PR.... so there is enough substance to talk about.
