There's the 'individual' SongPicker, which you can open by shift-clicking the SongPicker button (the button that has an image of two eighth notes, to the left of the song title), and there's the SongPicker that's part of the 'MultiPicker' dialog, which you can open by ctrl-clicking the button. By default a click without a modifier key will open the MultiPicker, unless you've changed the default.

The MultiPicker can also be opened several other ways. One way is by clicking (or ctrl+clicking) the Style button (the button directly below the SongPicker button). You can then click on the SongPicker tab in the MultiPicker dialog.

-See if there is a difference opening the individual SongPicker vs. MultiPicker SongPicker.
-Check if you can open it if the MultiPicker has already been opened, by switching from another tab like Styles or RealTracks.
-It may be that there is some kind of error trying to open the folder you have set as the home folder (default is /Applications/Band-in-a-Box/MySongs). If there is no way for you to open the SongPicker, you could reset it by closing the program and renaming the file intrface.bbm in the Band-in-a-Box/Preferences folder. You could rename it intrface_old.bbm as a backup. This would return many program settings to defaults.

Let us know what you find.
