Hi. I wrote this song about three years ago and just listened to it again today. I'm doing all the singing and playing guitar. It was one of my first tries at doing "smooth jazz" and it has an Al Jarreau feel to it. I like the way it turned out. Hope you like it.
I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A LONG TIME, A LONG TIME, A LONG TIME
SEARCHING BUT NOT FINDING, SOMEBODY LIKE YOU
AND THERE YOU WERE, STEPPING OUT OF MY DREAMS
NO MORE SEARCHING BABY, 'CAUSE YOU'RE HERE WITH ME
ALWAYS ONLY HEARD ABOUT LOVE, BUT NEVER THOUGHT I'D SEE
WHAT OTHER PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT LOVE
BUT IT REACHED TO ME
SO NOW MY SEARCH IS OVER, OVER, OVER
I FINALLY KNOW WHAT LOVE IS, I FOUND WHAT I NEED
CAUSE EVERY TIME I SEE YOU, I KNOW DEEP INSIDE
THAT WE SHOULD BE TOGETHER, FOREVER, FOREVER
