I've mentioned this before: what I really appreciate about European and Australian listeners is that you appreciate songs about real life...it's uncertainties, advice, being vulnerable, social problems, the emotions, and universal truths. Over here on this side of the Atlantic from the 49th parallel to the Gulf of Mexico, it seems all that's wanted are songs about being tough, guns, partying, winning, getting laid, being righteous because you go to church, and happy endings. I composed the melody and wrote a few lyrics before contacting Bob and Robert. Bob Bentley is the wizard behind the philosophical lyrics and he arranged the instruments: Band in a Box and his own guitars and piano. I think his mature vocals really fit the mood as no other could. We enjoyed it a lot. John
