I just upgraded to BiaB 2026 on Mac but when I run Install Manager it shows all my previous sets as not installed. They still seem to be there and work inside the Band in a Box program, they are just showing as Download in Install Manager instead of installed. Do I have to reinstall them again? I selected Real Tracks 1-39 and redownloaded and installed it now it shows installed but the rest do not other than the 2026 updates. Is there a way to get the Install Manager to recognize that the files are already installed?
In your screenshot it looks like you have the original Realtrack installation files in a different location than the installation manager program is looking at. I suspect you either deleted the original Realtrack installation files or moved them to a different location so the program has no way of knowing the original files were downloaded and installed. The program compares what files are in your download location against what files are available for download based on the custom URL loaded into the program.
FYI: PG Music frequently changes and updates Realtracks, Realdrums and other installation files as issues and enhancements are addressed. It is not unusual to see "a newer file is available" any time you are using the installation manager. I run the installation manager whenever I think to to make sure I'm using the most recent files.
Yes, they were moved a year or so ago when I was running out of disc space. After I moved them I had to redownload them all again to get Install Manager to show Installed. It was after the upgrade to 2026 that they reverted to the current state. It has either reverted to the original install location or some other factor caused it to forget the current install location. I was hoping to avoid downloading them for a third time. Many installer programs can scan a directory to tell what is already there. I was hoping that there would be an .ini file or .plist that could be edited to point them to the current location.
If you have them downloaded to a different location, then you can move those files to your new downloads folder. Ensure the Install Manager is closed and then re-open after the move.
edit -- In your screenshot they are showing up as "Ready" which means the files are available for download. They are not showing as "Downloaded" - if you have the downloaded files (packages) in your Downloads folder then they will show up as downloaded or 'downloaded but newer file available' (you can choose a different download folder or move the files as mentioned by Catherine) -- There are a few possibilities for why they don't show as installed, but one is that up until fairly recently the Install Manager didn't keep track of whether a package was installed for future sessions, so it's possible you installed with an earlier build. I think that's most likely the case here. Another possibility is that the location you installed the Band-in-a-Box and/or RealTracks to was different than where they are now.
Note - there are menu options to view logs and settings folders for the Install Manager under the Help menu, but there's nothing there that you can really edit easily to make it think that the files are installed.
You can do a fairly thorough check using the MultiPicker / StylePicker / RealTracks Picker in Band-in-a-Box.
-In the StylePicker, first do a rebuild (fast), then choose the Other menu | Only show styles with RealTracks that are N/A. If any styles show up in the list, then you are missing some RealTracks. You can also choose 'Only show styles that are N/A' and scan the "Sets" column. If there is anything other than Xtra PAKs and XPro PAKs, then you can see what you are missing. For example, if there is a set RT300 with N/A styles, then that means you are missing RealTracks Set 300.
-In the RealTracks Picker, go to the [#] button and select 'Show N/A RealTracks'. Then, sort by the N/A column. Nothing should be N/A except for "Set 800" which are bonus 49PAK styles from this year.
-Check the 'Help | What Addons do I have' dialog
-If nothing unexpected shows as N/A, and you have installed the latest patch, then you are good.

I didn't keep the install packages after installing them and they had showed Installed in the Install Manager. After upgrading they reverted to Download instead of Installed in Install Manager.
Thanks for the reply. There were 4 files showing as N/A however in Install Manager the respective packs shows as green and Installed. One from Pack 8, 84, 167, and 459 all of which show as installed packs but those 4 real tracks won't load, saying it is missing. Looking at it another way, sorting by the Set column, I looked at the files in Pack 353 which is one of the packs Install Manager says is not installed but all the files are there and I can load them, no N/As there.
So basically even though Install Manager says they are ready to download, they are already installed except for those 4 real tracks.
