Boy this is going to drive me nuts.

I tried doing this through the acid loops technique in Real Band.

The metronome settings were changed to the sounds/volumes I wanted. Sounded perfect.

Saved the metronome to a track in midi format.

I 'Rendered" that track to an Acid file, gave it a name and put it in "Loops"

Opened a new RB file to test things out.

Selected and Created Loop with the "Generate" Button.

Filled all the information and added the "loop" to a track. I even auditioned the item before clicking OK. Sounded perfect during the audition. But...

Played the track. Now sounded completely different than what I did in the first step. Also completely different from the audition. And, by "completely" I mean completely. Different sounds, different instruments, etc.

What am I doing wrong?
