First of all....

Unfold the song using edit.. song form.. unfold. This puts the song into a linear form and eliminates the mysterious repeats.

For the endings, as mentioned, you can select the standard 2 or 4 bar endings as they tend to work well for most songs.

However, if they don't provide what you specifically want, you can always create your own custom ending easily. How you do it will depend on how you want the song to end, but generally I will add about 8 extra bars to the end to give me room to do what I want and have room for the fade. You can do fancy stuff or even a simple slow down to a hold.

I like to call it the "roll your own" approach to endings.
