Break Down The Walls
It’s been several years since we posted a reggae song so here’s a new one. It’s arranged in the typical classic reggae fashion with the “one drop” rhythm, i.e., little or no emphasis on the first drum beat and a snare or similar hit on the third beat. We provided a handclap for the third beat emphasis. After the solo we added Janice on cajon for a wee bit of a lift.

At 17 tracks we have definitely exceeded our mix pay grade!

And yep, classic reggae can be a bit redundant and outro fades are very common. So there! smile

The slightly tweaked lyric was written by Leon of Peter&Leon with Peter, of course, being our music partner and featured guitar player.
