Yesterday somehow I managed to record a harmonica through a regular non-stereo microphone in a way that both "stereo" tracks had the same mono image on them. I don't know how that happened. But for some reason it sounded great. Seemed to add some kind of resonance or something.

Anyway, a pairing of a mono track actually be a good thing? I know it's not really "stereo", but I think it sounded great. More importantly, how can I repeat whatever caused that to happen?

All I did was plug the mic into the Focusrite Scarlett thing, and voila, I had some kind of double image. Tried to do it again but the mono channel just went to one side of the stereo track. Couldn't repeat the result.
