I find that loop recording is pretty nice. You are standing at the mic and one loop after another goes by and you just pick the one you like best. You are not punching buttons, moving cursors, etc.

Punch-in is good, but it has it's drawbacks. I don't believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that you can both loop and punch in at the same time. So you end up having to hit the keyboard each time you want to do a punch in. The main punch-in advantage seems to be that it offers a "pre-roll", while loop recording doesn't offer that.

So, is there a way to get a pre-roll while loop recording?
