You do actually have that availability.
On mine, when I stop recording, a menu pops up that asks, “save the takes?” And then it asks “save as a single track” or save as “multiple tracks”. I pick the latter and then I get a string of all of my mostly horrible takes.
I think, however, there is one of those annoying check boxes at the bottom of that menu that says “don’t show this menu again“. Thus, you may not see the menu because perhaps you checked the box. There must be a way to roll back check boxes, but I have no idea how to do that.
I think that’s your problem though, for what it’s worth.
