I want to remove metronome. The problem is in preferences, even if I unchecked all the boxes I continue to hear it. The manual for Mac don't write anything about that.
Is that a bug ?

Hello,
Please clarify when you are hearing the metronome. Is it all the way through the song? Are you recording or playing back?
Also, under Help | About Band-in-a-Box, what is the version and build, please?

Hello,
I have the Band in a Box for Mac Version 2026 (1003) 64 bit application.
When I launch BIAB, I have a style and C major in the first bar.
When I want to listen to the style there is like a side stick very loud with the drum.
Second question please.
I would like to clean my Band in a box folder because I am sure I have too many things and sometimes, it can be slow.
It is in a hard disk purchased with the first audiophile version, I don't remember when (2018 ?).
And since that time, I bought many updates (I think too many) because I don't need so many styles.
My BIAB hard disk is 1,11 To with a Mac Pro.
I would like the complete audiophile 2026 only.
How can I do ?

If you load the style SATIORK4 for example, do you hear the metronome after the count in section?
Also, what OS are you running, please?

Hello Catherine,
Here is my test today. The style was HESIT8.STY and when I launched BIAB yes I heard the metronome (like a stick on the the snare).
When I load the SATIORK4, I have no sound at all.
My Mac is Sequoia 15.7.4

When I load the SATIORK4, I have no sound at all. 1 - Is it correct that you do not hear any MIDI at all? Also try ZZJAZZ.STY. 2 - When you load a RealStyle (_HESIT8.STY is only RealTracks, no MIDI), you hear a metronome click. Do you ALSO hear the other instruments playing or ONLY that "metronome" sound? (or whatever the drum click is). Maybe you have some unexpected plugin selected. Try this - close Band-in-a-Box, and open the "Plugin Settings" folder in your Band-in-a-Box folder. Find and delete any DefaultSynth*.tgs and plugin_list*.txt files you see there. Open Band-in-a-Box and see if that fixed it (Band-in-a-Box will re-create these files as needed). Also, in your other thread I had a request that you may not have seen. I'll repeat it here: With Band-in-a-Box closed, please find the intrface.bbm file in the 'Applications/Band-in-a-Box/Preferences' folder. Zip this file (right-click on it and compress), and then email this zip file as an attachment to support with a message to refer to this forum thread. You can then try renaming the file intrface_old.bbm and running Band-in-a-Box to see if the problem happens with default settings. (The intrface_old is a backup of your settings.)

Thank you for your help. I deleted the DefaultSynth*.tgs and plugin_list*.txt files and YES ! IT WORKS NOW !
No click anymore when I tried new styles.
