I find it's a good idea to have a Synth about just in case its needed for a song that I wouldn't normally do.

I have this one for years now, loads of presets and works well within Biab.

I didn't pay the full amount, think I got the basic synth free in a Music mag, and added a few upgrade presets, It seems complicated and I definitely don't want to learn how to use it, other than to stick it on a midi track in Biab and pick a preset, of which they are many.
