Past time, actually. laugh I've been working on my singing synthesis project again, and went down a rabbit hole trying to get automatic phoneme alignment working, grossly underestimating the complexity of the problem. It's one of those things that would be much faster to do by hand instead of trying to automate it.

And then the song itself: It is quite different from what I had expected from you; a song from the old jazz box!
You did a great job; the atmosphere is perfect, just like back in the day, or as I often heard it from my father (he was a real jazz lover, I a bit less so).
I think everyone is a jazz lover... it's just a matter of degree. When I was a kid, we used to have a yearly Dixieland Jazz Jubilee. Great music, but there's a limit to how much banjo I can take in one day. wink

I had the same comment as Brain about the lead vocals (I would have preferred them a bit lower/fuller), but your explanation to him was clear enough to accept your choice as well!
Heh. I did mention the melody started out an octave higher, didn't I? wink

And the harmonies with that female voice were truly beautiful!
Thanks, I really is a lovely sound, even if it is synthetic.

So, a good comeback!
Thanks for the support! smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?
