I have an old song writing pal who writes songs, and sends them to small radio stations across the UK and the US.
I think he spends a lot of time sitting at home tuning in, waiting for them to get played.
I wonder how many songwriters do the same.
This song is about that.

Radio ...
Waiting for my song to come on the radio.
The radio.
Every note ... and every word I wrote, from the heart.
From my heart.
Many days ... and many waking nights gone by.
Ask me why.
Radio ... Radio.
Inst.
Back porch, tapping out a rhythm on my laptop.
Can't stop.
Working out phrasing.
Cutting out the cliches in the rhyme, took some time.
Change the melody again, and form a tear to cry.
Ask me why.
Radio ... Radio.
