In a different way it did break down the walls for me! I always have around 3 chord progression experiments in progress, but all of this year I've been struggling with what to do with them, particularly re instrumentals as I want to be concentrating on sung songs, then thanks to your post I thought "Let's try doing a reggae instrumental!" It turned out that the off-beat suited one experiment perfectly and I've already completed the arrangement, plus I've used electric piano and trumpet solos for the first time. I really needed that kick to try a different approach, so big thanks for that! As I'm still waiting for backing vocals for a sung song to be finished it'll probably be my next post. I'll acknowledge you guys for helping me break down the walls!
