Just visited the Restem site and read the (very concise) manual. Basically, the VST breaks a drum track down into seven stems that can be individually controlled (bass, snare, toms, etc) for volume. That would be a pretty cool RealDrums enhancement for sure. There's an issue described in their FAQs with higher frequency stems being cut off too soon, but I'm not sure how prevalent or noticeable that is.

There's a free 14-day trial on their website, so I may give it a go...
