Bonjour Laurent,

Back in the day when I lived and worked in London we would channel hop over to Paris as often as we could to explore and soak up the amazing atmosphere of your magical city.

Well now i’ve just spent a lovely few minutes wandering the streets of Paris again via your track. It really is a marvelous piece of work—the arrangement has that classic, infectious swing that makes it impossible not to tap your foot. You’ve captured the atmosphere of the city beautifully; it’s almost enough to make me forget the claustrophobia of the Catacombs!

You’ve clearly put a great deal of skill into blending those Band-in-a-Box styles and pulling it all together in Cubase. It’s an impressive technical feat.

I have to admit, though, watching the AI-generated video and listening to that uncanny, Sinatra-esque vocal did give me a bit of a surreal 'digital dizzy izzy spell.' I’m a bit of a Luddite at heart—I still miss the satisfying, clattering grit of the old London Underground compared to the pristine silence of your Parisian Metro—so it’s wild to see algorithms painting the Seine and crooning like a lounge singer. It’s quite the 'Brave New World' we’re living in, isn't it?

While I sometimes find myself wanting to hunt for the 'human heartbeat' behind the digital polish, I can’t deny the result is a delight to listen to. Thank you for sharing your creative project with us—you’ve certainly provided a very stylish, if slightly sci-fi, trip to the City of Light.

salutations

Izzy.
